Ethan Gordon Hankins (born May 23, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cleveland Guardians organization. Amateur career Hankins attended Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, Georgia. As a junior in 2017, he had a 0.90 earned run average (ERA) with 77 strikeouts in innings pitched and was named the ''Forsyth County News'' Pitcher of the Year. After the season, he played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game and played for the USA Baseball 18U National Team. Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, colloquially known as Tommy John surgery (TJS), is a surgical graft procedure where the ulnar collateral ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with either a tendon from elsewhere in the patient's body, or with one from a deceased donor. The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team in Eastlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, that plays in the Midwest League as the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. The Mahoning Valley Scrappers are a collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League. They are located in Niles, Ohio, a city in the valley of the Mahoning River, and play their home games at Eastwood Field.
