''Eternal Faith'' is the first studio album by hard rock band Takara (band), Takara. It was released in December 1993 on Now and Then Records. The album was released to a very receptive audience. This new album entered the ''Burrn!'' Charts at #16 and European charts at #8. It went on to sell 15,000 worldwide. These were very impressive numbers for a band that didn't even tour Japan or Europe. Takara (band)
Takara was an American rock band, formed in 1987 in Los Angeles, California. Takara recorded 5 studio albums for several different record labels in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Founding member and lead guitarist Neal Grusky, and bassist Carl Demarco remained permanent fixtures in the band since its early days. Biography 1980s - Early Days Takara was formed in August 1987. After a few months of rehearsals the band made their debut in October with a show in Hollywood, California. The band proceeded to play many more shows throughout 1987-88. In November 1988, Takara went into the studio to record their first demo with producer Jeff Scott Soto. As they entered the studio it became apparent that the original singer was not ready to record. In order to finish the new Takara demo, Soto was asked to help out by providing vocals for the demo. Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Glam Metal
Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. Jeff Scott Soto (born November 4, 1965) is an American rock singer of Puerto Rican descent. He is best known for being the vocalist on Yngwie Malmsteen's first two albums, and (briefly) the lead vocalist for Journey in 2006–2007. Soto also sang lead vocals in the banEyes He also had a long tenure as the front man of hard rock band Talisman. Currently he works as solo artist, with his self-named band SOTO and as the vocalist of super-groups W.E.T., Sons of Apollo and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Upon its release, the album was selling so well that Long Island Records brought the band to Germany for a promo tour. Gary Schutt
Gary Schutt (born 1967) is an American rock musician who rose to prominence in Los Angeles during the 1990s while working with Jeff Scott Soto and Takara. In 1994, he moved to Florida and joined Signal Zero, later launching his solo career in 1999 with the release of ''Playthings''. Schutt is currently in his own band, Panic Fire; and the tribute band, Diary of an Ozzman, based out of Tampa Bay, Florida. Early life Gary Schutt was born in 1967 in Monticello, New York, as the son of William and Linda Schutt. He is proficient in guitar, bass guitar, piano, and drums, and graduated in 1990 from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in songwriting.
