Estádio Urbano Caldeira, also known as Vila Belmiro or Pelé, is an association football stadium located in the Vila Belmiro neighborhood of Santos, São Paulo, and the home of Santos Futebol Clube. The stadium was inaugurated on 12 October 1916, when Santos FC beat Clube Atlético Ypiranga 2–1, with Adolpho Millon Jr. scoring the first goal of the stadium. It was named in honour of Urbano Caldeira, former player, manager and chairman of Santos, in 1933. The stadium, given the nickname ''Vila Belmiro'' due to its location within the Vila Belmiro neighborhood, has been Santos' permanent residence since 1916. However, the team sometimes uses the Pacaembu Stadium located in the city of São Paulo for important games due to the low capacity of Vila Belmiro. Botafogo Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Botafogo-SP, Botafogo de Ribeirão Preto or simply Botafogo, is a Brazilian association football club in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo. The Beautiful Game
The Beautiful Game ( pt, o jogo bonito) is a nickname for association football. It was popularised by the Brazilian footballer Pelé, although the exact origin of the phrase is disputed. Stuart Hall, an English football commentator, used it as far back as 1958. Hall admired Peter Doherty when he went to see Manchester City play at Maine Road and used the term "The Beautiful Game" to describe Doherty's style of play. During his career, the Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho was an exponent of the "Joga Bonito" ("Play Beautifully") style of play. Although made famous around the world, the phrase ''jogo bonito'' is not used in Brazil, whereas the term ''futebol-arte'' means the same. Etymology The exact origins of the term are disputed. 1916 Campeonato Paulista
In the 1916 season of the Campeonato Paulista, two championships were disputed, each by a different league. APSA Championship Before the start of the championship, Scottish Wanderers was expelled from the league after it became known that the club players who studied at Mackenzie College shared the club's income, which was understood by the APSA as professionalism, which was forbidden by the league.
