Estonian Autosport Union (abbreviated EAU; et, Eesti Autospordi Liit) is one of the sports governing bodies in Estonia which deals with Estonian autosport. EAU is one of the organizer of Estonian Rally Championship and Estonian Grand Prix. This Union is a member of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Estonian Autosport Union organizes the Team Autosport Estonia national team which competes in different motorsports series including in FIA Motorsport Games. Peetri, Harju County
Peetri (also ''Peetriküla'' in spoken language) is a small borough ( et, alevik) in Rae Parish, Harju County, in northern Estonia. It is bordered by the city of Tallinn. According to official population registration Peetri had 5,859 inhabitants on 1 January 2021. According to last public census, population of Peetri was 4.435 inhabitants on December 31, 2011. Toivo Asmer
Toivo Asmer (born 8 January 1947 in Oisu, Järva County, Estonia) is an Estonian entrepreneur, former racing driver, motorsports promoter, musician and politician. From 1999 until 2003, he was Minister of Regional Affairs of the Republic of Estonia. He was a member of IX Riigikogu. His son is racing driver Marko Asmer. The FIA Motorsport Games is a multi-sport motorsport events of nations administered by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. The first event took place in Italy in 2019 and was won by Russia. The 2020 edition was postponed to 2021, and then subsequently to 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The FIA announced that the 2022 event would be hosted in the city of Marseille, and took place on 29–30 October 2022. The FIA Motorsport Games Rally Cup is the first FIA Motorsport Games Rally Cup, to be held across tarmac stages around the Circuit Paul Ricard region, between Marseille and Toulon, France on 26 October to 30 October 2022. The category is open to cars entered by teams and complying with Group Rally2, Group Rally4 and Historic regulations. The events are part of the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games. The Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 is a rally car built by Volkswagen Motorsport and based upon the Volkswagen Polo road car. It is built to R5 regulations and is a successor to the Volkswagen Polo R WRC.
