Estonia National Futsal Team
The Estonia national futsal team represents Estonia during international futsal competitions such as the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the European Championships. It was formed in 2007 and is under the direction of the Estonian Football Association. Estonian Football Association
The Estonian Football Association (EJL; et, Eesti Jalgpalli Liit) is the governing body of football, beach soccer and futsal in Estonia, established on 14 December 1921. It organizes the football league, including the championship which is called Meistriliiga, Estonian Cup and the Estonian national football team. It is based in Tallinn. EJL became a member of FIFA in 1923, but following Estonia's annexation by the Soviet Union it was disbanded. It became a member again in 1992 after Estonia reinstated its independence. Controversy In 2017, FIFA fined the Estonian Football Association 30,000 Swiss francs (26,000 euros) and gave them a warning because of an incident where Bosnia and Herzegovina fans threw burning material onto the field. 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup
The 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the sixth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It was the first tournament to use the term "World Cup". It was held between 30 September and 19 October 2008 in Brazil. It was the only Futsal World Cup to feature 20 teams. Brazil won the tournament for the fourth time. It was their first title since 1996. The 2009 Al-Fateh Confederations Futsal Cup, being the first Futsal Confederations Cup, was held in Libya from 6 to 11 October 2009. The draw was held on 4 October 2009 in Tripoli, Libya, Tripoli. The Futsal Confederations Cup is a futsal tournament for national teams. It is contested by the winners of each of the six FIFA confederation championships ( AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, UEFA, OFC), the winner of the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the host country. UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 Qualifying
The UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 qualifying competition will be a men's futsal competition that determines the 15 teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Netherlands in the UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 final tournament, the first tournament to be held on a four-year basis and featuring 16 teams. A record number of 50 of the 55 UEFA member national teams entered the competition, including Austria and Northern Ireland which entered for the first time. UEFA Futsal Euro 2014 Qualifying
The UEFA Futsal Euro 2014 qualifying competition consisted of a preliminary round, a main round, a play-off round and a twelve-team final tournament played in Belgium. In the preliminary round, four groups of four teams each and two of three were played as one-venue mini-tournaments from 22 to 27 January 2013. The six group winners were joined by the 22 highest-ranked qualifying contenders in seven groups of four teams, played as one-venue mini-tournaments between 27 and 30 March 2013.
