Estonia National Football Team 1993
The 1993 season was the second full year of competitive football in the Baltic country as an independent nation. After one loss (vs. Switzerland) and one draw (vs. Malta) in 1992 the Estonia national football team, led by manager Uno Piir, carried on in the 1994 FIFA World Cup qualification. Estonia played a total number of fourteen official matches in 1993. The only win came on July 4 against Lithuania in the Baltic Cup 1993, which was played in the Pärnu Kalevi Stadium. Captain (association Football)
The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. The team captain is usually identified by the wearing of an armband. Samir Zulič (born 8 January 1966) is a Slovenian retired footballer who played as a defender. Club career Zulič played for Koper in the Yugoslav Second League during the 1985–86 season.
