Estonia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2023
Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom, with "Bridges (Alika song), Bridges" performed by Alika Milova, Alika. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final 2023 in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2023 contest. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten songs competed in each semi-final and six from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final alongside two wildcards selected by the public. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top three to qualify to the superfinal. In the superfinal, "Bridges" performed by Alika was selected as the winner entirely by a public vote. Eesti Laul (English: 'Estonian Song' or 'The Song of Estonia') is an annual music competition organised by Estonian public broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged every year since 2009. Bedwetters (band)
Bedwetters are an Estonian pop punk band formed in September 2004. They became known in the spring of 2007 when they won a major contest for Estonian new groups. The band didn't play together between May 2013 and June 2022. Awards One of the main prizes of the competition Bedwetters won, was to shoot a music video with acclaimed Estonian music video director Masa (Supersonic). The video for "Dramatic Letter To Conscience" received the highest possible rotation on MTV Baltic and band became hugely popular in all three Baltic countries after which they became one of the few Baltic acts that were nominated in the MTV EMA Munich 2007 New Sounds of Europe category. Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Siren" written by Robin Juhkental. The song was performed by Malcolm Lincoln and Manpower 4. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final ''Eesti Laul 2010'' in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. Malcolm Lincoln are an Estonian band that formed in October 2009. The members are Robin Juhkental, Jakob Juhkam, Siim Raidma, Ott Adamson, Johan Alexander Petti and Hans Kurvits. Robin Juhkental
Robin Juhkental (born 20 May 1988 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian singer. He is the frontman of Malcolm Lincoln. Juhkental has studied in Kivimäe põhikool and Tallinna Nõmme Gümnaasium. He has also studied road engineering in Tallinn University of Applied Sciences. Juhkental has never taken any singing lessons. Ott Lepland
Ott Lepland (born 17 May 1987) is an Estonian singer. He first received national mainstream attention in 2009, after winning the third season of ''Eesti otsib superstaari''. Lepland represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song "'' Kuula''" placing 6th in the final. Biography Lepland has been singing since he was a child.
