Esther Muir
Esther Muir (March 11, 1903 – August 1, 1995) was an American actress on Broadway and in Hollywood films. Early years Born in Andes, New York, Muir had six sisters and three brothers. She began modeling in New York City while still a high school student. Career Stage While she was in high school, Muir became a showgirl in the ''Greenwich Village Follies'' (1922). She participated in the ''Earl Carroll Vanities'' and in the ''International Review''. The latter show starred Gertrude Lawrence. Her major break as a theatrical performer came when she landed the title role in ''My Girl Friday!'', in 1929. While in London, England performing in a musical Muir became a favorite dancing partner of Edward VIII, then Prince of Wales. She befriended Wallis Warfield. Walter Winchell (April 7, 1897 – February 20, 1972) was a syndicated American newspaper gossip columnist and radio news commentator. Originally a vaudeville performer, Winchell began his newspaper career as a Broadway reporter, critic and columnist for New York Tabloid (newspaper format), tabloids. He rose to national celebrity in the 1930s with Hearst Communications, Hearst newspaper chain syndication and a popular radio program. He was known for an innovative style of gossipy staccato news briefs, jokes and Jazz Age slang. Somers is a town located in northern Westchester County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 20,434. Poliomyelitis, commonly shortened to polio, is an infectious disease caused by the poliovirus. The ''San Francisco Chronicle'' is a newspaper serving primarily the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Theodore Eliopoulos (November 14, 1936 – November 30, 2010), known as Ted Sorel, was an American actor whose numerous credits included '' Guiding Light'', '' Law & Order'' and '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine''.
