Este (woreda)
Este was one of the 105 woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Debub Gondar Zone, Este was bordered on the south by the Abay River which separated it from the Misraq Gojjam Zone, on the west by Dera, on the northwest by Fogera, on the north by Farta, on the northeast by Lay Gayint, and on the east by Simada; part of this woreda's boundary with Simada was defined by the Wanka, a tributary of the Abay. Towns in Este included Jara Gedo and Mekane Yesus, as well as the historic settlement of Mahdere Maryam. Este was divided for Mirab Este and Misraq Este woredas. Overview The woreda is one of the most abandoned place by the regime in power. The woreda went to spend for about 20 years in darkness, after losing a generator that lit up about 10,000 households. Aquiles Este (born c. 1962 in Caracas, Venezuela) is an American semiotician and professor at the University of Miami's School of Business. His research focuses on content management and social media. Early life and education Este was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He completed studies in journalism at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He then enrolled at the Universidade de São Paulo and Universidade Católica de São Paulo, where he graduated summa cum laude with a doctorate degree in semiotics and communication science. Este Haim (born 14 March 1986) is an American musician and composer. She is best known as a member of the pop-rock trio Haim, which Este formed with her younger sisters Alana and Danielle. Este is Haim's bass player and a vocalist. She co-writes all of Haim's songs. Since 2021, Haim has composed scores for film and television. Florence Esté
Florence Esté (1860 – April 25, 1926) was an American painter in oils born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also worked in watercolors, pastels, and as an etcher and engraver. She was particularly well known for her landscapes, which were said to have been influenced by Japanese artworks and were noted for their "harmony of color". Her obituary in the ''New York Times'' referred to her as "one of the best known women landscape painters." Charles Este
Charles Este, (1696–1745), was bishop of Ossory (1735–1740) and subsequently of Waterford and Lismore (1740–1745). Born at Whitehall, the son of Michael Este, and educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford, he distinguished the latter as joint editor of ''Carmina quadragesimalia ab aedis Christi alumnis composita…, 1723'' (and subsequent editions), to which he himself contributed. Receiving the patronage of Archbishop Boulter of Armagh whom he served as chaplain from 1724, he moved to Ireland and was collated to the rectory of Derrynoose on 9 Jan 1926. The Este culture or Atestine culture was an Iron Age Europe, Iron Age archaeological culture existing from the late Italian Bronze Age (10th-9th century BC, proto-venetic phase) to the Ancient Rome, Roman period (1st century BC). It was located in the present territory of Veneto in Italy and derived from the earlier and more extensive Proto-Villanovan culture. It is also called "civilization of Situla (vessel), situlas", or paleo-venetic. The culture is named after a proto-urban settlement in the Po Valley (Northern Italy). The city of Este, Veneto, Este was originally situated on the river Adige, which changed its course in 5th century; it was a center of metalworking. Este () is a town and ''comune'' of the Province of Padua, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is situated at the foot of the Euganean Hills. The town is a centre for farming, crafts and industry worthy of note. Emperor Frederick III conferred Borso d'Este, Lord of Ferrara, with the Duchy of Modena and Reggio in 1452, while Pope Paul II formally elevated him in 1471 as Duke of Ferrara, over which the family had in fact long presided.
