Estanislao Esteban Karlic
Estanislao Esteban Karlic (born 7 February 1926) is an Argentine Cardinal (Catholic Church), cardinal of the Catholic Church. He served as Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Paraná, Archbishop of Paraná from 1986 to 2003, and was elevated to the Cardinal (Catholicism), cardinalate in 2007. Biography Estanislao Karlic was born in Oliva, Villa María, to an Immigration, immigrant Croatian family. He studied at the Major Seminary of Córdoba, Argentina, Córdoba, and at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, from where he obtained a Licentiate of Sacred Theology, licentiate in theology. Following his Holy Orders, ordination to the Priesthood (Catholic Church), priesthood on 8 December 1954, Karlic served as Superior (hierarchy), superior of the philosophy section of the Major Seminary of Córdoba, where he was also professor of theology.
