Estanislau "Estanis" Pedrola Fortuny (born 24 August 2003) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Italian club Sampdoria, on loan from La Liga club Barcelona. Estanislau Basora Brunet (also Estanislao; 18 November 1926 – 16 March 2012) was a Spanish footballer who played as a winger or striker. Most of his 15-year career was spent at FC Barcelona for which he appeared in more than 300 official games, surpassing the 100-goal mark and winning 14 major titles. A Spanish international in the late 1940s/early 1950s, Basora represented the nation at the 1950 World Cup. Estanislau Ruiz Ponsetti, or Estanislau Ruiz i Ponsetí in Catalan (23 June 1889 – 1967), was a Spanish engineer and socialist politician who became one of the leaders of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (Partit Socialista Unificat de Catalunya, or PSUC). During the Spanish Civil War he was the main architect of the Soviet-style New Economy. He went into exile after the war and lived the remainder of his life in Mexico. Estanislao Figueras y de Moragas ( ca, Estanislau Figueras i de Moragas ; 13 November 1819 – 11 November 1882) was a Spanish politician who served as the first President of the First Spanish Republic from 12 February to 11 June 1873. Figueras was born in Barcelona. He led the Republican Party after Queen Isabella II was overthrown in 1868. He briefly became president after King Amadeo abdicated. He was succeeded as president by Francisco Pi y Margall. After the 1875 restoration of the monarchy he withdrew from public life.
