Estadio Crucecita
Estadio Crucecita was a stadium in Crucecita, a town in Avellaneda Partido of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the home ground of Club Atlético Independiente before they moved to Estadio Libertadores de América in 1928, and was located in the intersection of Avenida Mitre and Lacarra. The stadium held 10,000 spectators. The stadium operated from 1911 to 1928?, when the club acquired a land to build a new venue. History Independiente had previously had a field (also in Crucecita) on Manuel Ocantos and Estanislao del Campo, where the team played from 1907 to 1911. That same year the club moved to Avenida Mitre and Lacarra where it rented a land to build a stadium. Crucecita
Crucecita is a town of the Avellaneda Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires urban agglomeration. The town is named for the ''Arroyo de la Crucecita'' (Crossing Stream) encountered by a 1580 expedition led by Captain Juan de Garay, the founder of modern-day Buenos Aires. The Real Consulado de Buenos Aires ordered a pontoon bridge built over the stream in 1810, and much of the surrounding land later belonged to the Ximenez family. A wave of immigration in Argentina after 1880 led to the southward expansion of the Buenos Aires metro area part Avellaneda, and the first lots in Crucecita were sold to homesteaders in 1887. The 1912 Argentine Primera División was the 21st season of top-flight football in Argentina. Two tournaments were held at the same time, due to the establishment of Federación Argentina de Football (FAF), a dissident association which organised its own championship. Thus, Quilmes Atlético Club, Quilmes won the official AFA tournament, while Club Atlético Porteño, Porteño won the FAF title. The Estadio Racing Club, popularly known as Estadio Alsina y Colón, was an association football stadium in Avellaneda, a suburb of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the home ground of Racing Club before they moved to Estadio Juan Domingo Perón in 1950, and was located in the intersection of Alsina and Colón streets, hence been sometimes referred as 'Estadio de Alsina y Colón'.
