Esta or Esther Henry (1882–1963) was an antiques dealer in Edinburgh, Scotland. Born in Sunderland, in her time she was the subject of news stories in many countries and known for her eccentric behavior. Sometimes called "Mrs. Scotland" in the press, she had ties to a number of notable people and events, including British queens and the auction of the collections of King Farouk of Egypt. Esta Nambayo is a Ugandan lawyer and judge who was appointed to the High Court of Uganda on 4 October 2019. Before that, from 27 August 2018 until 4 October 2019, she served as the Chief Registrar of the Courts of Judicature in Uganda. In that position, she was the fifth-highest judicial officer in the country, behind the (1) Chief Justice (2) Deputy Chief Justice (3) Principal Judge and the (4) Secretary to the Judiciary. Esther "Esta" Nesbitt, born as Esther Feuerman (1918–1975) was an American illustrator, xerox artist, filmmaker, and educator. Between the 1940s until the 1960s, Nesbitt actively led a career as a fashion illustrator for leading magazines and newspapers including Harpers Bazaar, Mademoiselle, and the New York Times Magazine. In the 1960s she began experimenting with fine art, in multidisciplines and with xerox art. Biography Esther Feuerman was born 19 November 1918 in New York City, New York. Esta Soler (born June 26, 1947 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, US) is an American activist who founded the social justice organization Futures Without Violence, and serves as president of FUTURES. Early life Soler was born in Bridgeport in 1947. She graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968, then obtained her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. Advocacy Soler became interested in anti-violence advocacy after hearing a speech from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Bridgeport. In 1971, she became a social worker in San Francisco, assisting women in a drug treatment program. Soler learned that many of the women with drug dependencies had also suffered domestic abuse, and that trauma from that abuse was a leading contributor to their addictions.
