Espen Søbye
Pål Espen Søbye (born 9 July 1954) is a Norwegian author and literary critic. He has a Mag.art. degree in philosophy, and was formerly employed at Statistics Norway in Oslo. Norwegians
Norwegians ( no, nordmenn) are a North Germanic ethnic group and nation native to Norway, where they form the vast majority of the population. They share a common culture and speak the Norwegian language. Norwegians are descended from the Norse of the Early Middle Ages who formed a unified Kingdom of Norway in the 9th century. During the Viking Age, Norwegians and other Norse peoples conquered, settled and ruled parts of the British Isles, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland. Marte Michelet
Marte Brekke Michelet (born 26 May 1975) is a Norwegian journalist, critic and non-fiction writer. She is the daughter of novelist and politician Jon Michelet and Toril Brekke. They resided in Lindeberg, Oslo before her parents split up. Marte Michelet moved into an apartment in Oslo, that once had housed a young Jewish girl who was deported to Auschwitz. She started her career in RadiOrakel and as a journalist in NRK. In 2006 she was hired in ''Dagbladet'', where she rose to political commentator. She was also at one point the restaurant critic ''Robinson & Fredag''. She resigned in 2014 when moving with her former husband Ali Esbati to Sweden; he was elected as a member of Parliament there. In 2014 she released the book ''Den største forbrytelsen'' about the Holocaust in Norway, receiving rave reviews and promptly winning the Brage Prize. Johan Scharffenberg
Johan Scharffenberg (23 November 1869 – 1 February 1965) was a Norwegian psychiatrist, politician, speaker and writer. Early life Scharffenberg was born in Moss as the son of military officer Hedvard Carl Scharffenberg (1819–1893) and Caroline Fredrikke Dietrichson (1825–1876). He was a nephew of priest Johannes W. C. Dietrichson. The family soon moved from Moss, and Scharffenberg grew up in Kristiania, Hamar and Molde. He finished his secondary education in 1888, enrolled in medicine studies in 1889 and took the cand.med. degree in 1897. Career Scharffenberg served as a physician and psychiatrist at psychiatric institutions and prisons, working in Trondhjem from 1903 to 1904 and then in Kristiania. He worked at the prison Botsfengselet from 1919 to 1940 and was a chief physician at Oslo Hospital from 1922 to late 1945, except for 1941 to early 1945. Rolf Stenersen
Rolf Kristian Eckersberg Stenersen (13 February 1899 – 15 October 1978) was a Norwegian businessman, non-fiction writer, essayist, novelist, playwright and biographer. He was also a track and field athlete and art collector. Background Stenersen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway as the son of bookseller Johan Martin Stenersen (1866–1948) and Martha Kathrine Eckersberg (1869–1930). He graduated from Kristiania Commerce School (now Oslo Commerce School) in 1918, and studied at Queen's College, Oxford, from 1922 to 1924. He was a Norwegian champion in 200 metres in 1919 and 1920, and in 4 x 100 metres relay in 1920.
