''La domenica specialmente'' (internationally released as ''Especially on Sunday'') is a 1991 Italian comedy-drama film. It consists of four segments, all written by Tonino Guerra. Each segment has a different director: Giuseppe Tornatore, Marco Tullio Giordana, Giuseppe Bertolucci and Francesco Barilli. Giuseppe Tornatore
Giuseppe Tornatore (born 27 May 1956) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. He is considered one of the directors who brought critical acclaim back to Italian cinema.Katz, Ephraim, "Italy," ''The Film Encyclopedia'' (New York: HarperResource, 2001), pp. 682-685. In a career spanning over 30 years he is best known for directing and writing drama films such as '' Everybody's Fine'', ''The Legend of 1900'', '' Malèna'', '' Baarìa'' and ''The Best Offer''. Andrea Prodan (born 16 November 1961) is an Italian-Argentinian film actor, composer and musician. He is the younger brother of rock star Luca Prodan, notable for his musical career in Argentina, leading the rock band Sumo. Biography The Prodan family, after suffering internment in a Japanese concentration camp during World War II, was expelled from China due to the civil war.
