Esmael Mangudadatu
Esmael "Toto" Gaguil Mangudadatu (; born August 15, 1968) is a Filipino politician who previously served as the representative of Maguindanao's 2nd district from 2019 to 2022. He also served as the governor of Maguindanao from 2010 to 2019. In Buluan town, he served as the mayor from 1998 to 2007, and vice mayor from 2007 to 2010. In the 2009 Maguindanao massacre, Mangudadatu's family members, aides, lawyers, and supporters, plus several journalists, were kidnapped and murdered while on their way to file Mangudadatu's candidacy for the gubernatorial elections. Andal Ampatuan Jr., Mangudadatu's scheduled opponent for the 2010 elections, was charged with the murders. In 2019, Andal Jr. and his brother Zaldy, as well as their associates, were convicted of the murders. Sharifa Mangatong Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel or Sharifa Akeel (born July 24, 1997) is a Filipino- Maguindanaon model and titleholder of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 and Miss Asia Pacific International 2018. Ampatuan, Maguindanao
Ampatuan (), officially the Municipality of Ampatuan ( Maguindanaon: ''Inged nu Ampatuan''; Iranun: ''Inged a Ampatuan''; tl, Bayan ng Ampatuan), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Maguindanao del Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 28,941 people. History Ampatuan was created out of 23 barrios of Datu Piang on 21 June 1959 by Republic Act No. 2509. Zaldy Ampatuan
Zaldy Uy Ampatuan (born August 22, 1967) is a Filipino convicted mass murderer and former politician. He is one of the main perpetrators of the Maguindanao massacre along with his father, brothers, and nephews. He served as governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) from 2005 until his suspension in 2009 due to his role in the massacre. He was a member of the ARMM Legislative Assembly from 1993 to 1998. As one of the sons of Andal Ampatuan Sr., he is part of a powerful political dynasty based in Maguindanao. Andal ( ta, ஆண்டாள்), also known as Kothai, Nachiyar, and Godadevi, was the only female Alvar among the twelve Hindu poet-saints of South India. She was posthumously considered an avatar of the goddess Bhudevi. As with the Alvar saints, she was affiliated to the Sri Vaishnava tradition of Hinduism. 2010 Philippine Gubernatorial Elections
Gubernatorial elections were held in the Philippines on May 10, 2010. All provinces elected their provincial governors for three-year terms that will begin on June 30, 2010. Governors that are currently serving their third consecutive terms are prohibited from running as governors (they may run in any other position).
