Escape Into Night
''Escape Into Night'' is a six-part British children's cult television serial made by ATV for ITV that was broadcast from 19 April to 24 May 1972. It was directed by Richard Bramall. The serial was an adaptation of Catherine Storr's 1958 novel ''Marianne Dreams'', and deals with a young girl, Marianne, whose drawings become the basis for dreams, and how the dividing line between dreams and reality blurs. The novel was later adapted into a 1988 film, '' Paperhouse''. The series was made in colour, but the original colour masters are missing; only black-and-white telerecordings of the series exists. These surviving recordings were released in the UK on Region 2 by Network Distributing Ltd Home Entertainment in May 2009. Fantasy is a genre of speculative fiction involving magical elements, typically set in a fictional universe and sometimes inspired by mythology and folklore. Ralph Vaughan Williams
Ralph Vaughan Williams, (; 12 October 1872– 26 August 1958) was an English composer. His works include operas, ballets, chamber music, secular and religious vocal pieces and orchestral compositions including nine symphonies, written over sixty years. Strongly influenced by Tudor music and English folk-song, his output marked a decisive break in British music from its German-dominated style of the 19th century. Vaughan Williams was born to a well-to-do family with strong moral views and a progressive social life. Edmund Pegge (born 1 April 1939) is an Australian actor, who has worked in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Patricia Maynard
Patricia Maynard (born 16 February 1942) is a British actress who is known primarily for her work on television and in theatre. Biography Patricia Maynard was born in Beighton, Sheffield, Beighton, Sheffield, and raised in Tooting Bec, South London and went to school in Battersea, just down the road from the Old Vic where she learned her love of Shakespeare. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her first five years were spent in rep and the theatre. Sonia Graham (born Sonia Mary Biddlecombe; 22 August 1929 – 18 February 2018) was an English actress whose career spanned over 40 years. She appeared in several British television series. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, having previously worked as a dancer, making her professional debut aged 13 with the Carl Rosa Opera Company. Barr Beacon, Aldridge
Barr Beacon is a hill on the edge of Walsall, West Midlands, England, very near the border with Birmingham. It gives its name to nearby Great Barr (the Beacon borders the Pheasey area of Great Barr) and to the local secondary school Barr Beacon School. It is historically the site of a beacon where fires were lit in times of impending attack or on celebratory occasions. The site is on green belt land and is of local importance for nature conservation, as defined by Walsall Borough Council, who have designated some 60 acres (25 ha) of it as a Local Nature Reserve. Ownership and management Barr Beacon was formerly owned by the Scott family of Great Barr Hall, nearby. Following the death of Lady Mildred Scott in 1909, the estate was auctioned off in 1918.
