Ernest Shazor
Ernest Haskel Shazor (born July 13, 1983) is a former American college and professional football player who was a safety in the National Football League (NFL) for a single season. Shazor played college football for the University of Michigan, and was a consensus All-American. He played professionally for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals. Early years Shazor was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, where he played for the King Crusaders high school football team. As a senior in 2000, he led the Crusaders to their first Detroit Public School League title since 1991. The ''Parade'' magazine high school All-American was selected Michigan Player of the Year by '' USA Today'' in his final campaign. He was rated the best prep prospect in the Midwest and the No. 3 defensive back in the nation by SuperPrep. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. It was founded in 1986, but played its first official games in the 1987 season, making it the third longest-running professional football league in North America after the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) until the AFL closed in 2019. The 2005 NFL season was the 86th regular season of the National Football League. Regular season play was held from September 8, 2005 to January 1, 2006. The 2005 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting.
