Ernest Rowland
Ernest Melville Rowlands (21 September 1864 – 7 April 1940) was a Welsh international rugby union player who played rugby for St David's College, Lampeter, and international rugby for Wales. Personal life Rowland was born in Neath, 1864 to Evan Rowland and Jane Morris. After graduating from St David's College, Lampeter, Rowland emigrated to Canada. He was ordained Deacon of the Mission at Clarendon with Palmerston in the Diocese of Ontario in 1894. Willie Thomas
William Henry Thomas (22 March 1866 – 11 October 1921) was a Welsh international rugby union player who played club rugby for Llanelli and London Welsh. He was capped eleven times for Wales and captained the team on two occasions. In 1888, Thomas was chosen to tour New Zealand and Australia as part of the first British Isles team. This unofficial tour did not play any international opposition and no caps were awarded. Thomas was born in Fishguard in 1866 to E.B. Thomas of Pembrokeshire. Evan Sloane Richards (23 January 1862 – 19 April 1931) was a Welsh international rugby union forward who played club rugby for Swansea, captaining the club through three seasons during the 1880s. Lewis Cobden Thomas
Lewis Cobden Thomas (6 August 1865 – 14 April 1928) was a Welsh international rugby union forward who played club rugby for Neath and Cardiff Rugby Football Club and international rugby for Wales. In 1900 he became the Mayor of Neath. Personal history Thomas was born in 1865, and was educated at various colleges before matriculating to Aberystwyth University.Jenkins (1991), pg. 154 He became a solicitor and founded a legal firm in Neath. He was elected onto Neath Town Council in 1897 and was made mayor in 1900. The 1895 Home Nations Championship was the thirteenth series of the rugby union Home Nations Championship. Six matches were played between 5 January and 16 March. It was contested by England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
