Ernest A. Larsen
Ernest A. Larsen (born December 26, 1932) was an American politician and educator. Larsen was born in Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. He graduated from University of Minnesota with his bachelor's degree in vocational education and was the assistant director of the Anoka Area Vocational Technical Institute in Anoka, Minnesota. He lived with his wife and family in Anoka, Minnesota. Larsen served in the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1983 and 1984 and in 1987 and 1988. Mille Lacs County ( ) is a county in the East Central part of the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,459. Its county seat is Milaca. The county was founded in 1857, and its boundary was expanded in 1860. Mille Lacs County is included in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Statistical Area. A portion of the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation is in the county. Etymology The name ''Mille Lacs'', meaning "thousand lakes" in French, was associated with Mille Lacs Lake in the region. Anoka ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Anoka County, Minnesota, United States. Its population was 17,142 at the 2010 census. Anoka is the " Halloween Capital of the World" because it hosted one of the first Halloween parades in 1920. It continues to celebrate the holiday each year with several parades.
