Erling Mossige

	Erling Mossige Erling Mossige (16 April 1907 – 3 January 1997) was a Norway, Norwegian jurist and banker. He was born at Målselv in Troms, Norway. He was a son of district physician Rasmus Mossige (1865–1954) and Aagot Koller. In 1936 he married Hanne Margrethe Rode. He studied from 1924 and graduated from the University of Oslo, Royal Frederick University (now University of Oslo) with a cand.jur. degree in 1928. He was a deputy judge from 1929 to 1933, and was hired as a secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs in 1933 and head of office in the Norwegian Ministry of Provisioning and Reconstruction, Ministry of Provisioning and Reconstruction in 1939. After the Occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, he fled to London where he was a head of department in the Nortraship, Norwegian Shipping and Trade Mission (''Nortraship'') from 1940 to 1945. picture info	Nortraship People The Norwegian Shipping and Trade Mission (Nortraship) was established in London in April 1940 to administer the Norwegian merchant fleet outside German-controlled areas. Nortraship operated some 1,000 vessels and was the largest shipping company in the world. It made a major contribution to the Allied war effort.
