Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music. The four-string bass is usually tuned the same as the double bass, which corresponds to pitches one octave lower than the four lowest-pitched strings of a guitar (typically E, A, D, and G). It is played primarily with the fingers or thumb, or with a pick. To be heard at normal performance volumes, electric basses require external amplification. Terminology According to the ''New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians'', an "Electric bass guitar sa Guitar, usually with four heavy strings tuned E1'–A1'–D2–G2." It also defines ''bass'' as "Bass (iv). A contraction of Double bas ...

Of What's To Come
''Of What's To Come'' is the seventh studio album by death metal band Deeds of Flesh, released in 2008. The last song is a re-recording from their second album, Inbreeding the Anthropophagi. This album is also the first on which the band has utilized guitar solos. Whereas the lyrical themes on previous albums had been more focused on violent and gore-based stories, this album showcases a change in direction to science fiction, with each song (save for the final track), detailing an extremely complex story about Mankind's interactions with an Ancient space-race which wishes to harvest life (or "Virvum"). The story was continued on the band's next album, '' Portals to Canaan'', which was released in 2013. Telesis
Telesis (from the Greek τέλεσις /telesis/) or "planned progress" was a concept and neologism coined by the United States, American sociologist Lester Frank Ward (often referred to as the "father of American sociology"), in the late 19th century to describe directed social advancement via education and the scientific method. The term has since been adopted as the name of numerous groups, schools, and businesses. Architecture and planning A group of architects, landscape architects, and urban planners from the Bay Area, founded in late 1939 through the merging of two groups of architects, one from San Francisco and the other from the University of California, Berkeley, called themselves Telesis. Philosophically, the group also evolved from several larger international architectural movements, which included CIAM (Congrès International d'Architecture Moderne) and MARS (Modern Architectural Research Group). Their stated aim was to research the development and implications of ...

Emeth
Emeth (Hebrew אמת : "truth," "firmness," or "veracity") is a Calormene character from C. S. Lewis's book ''The Last Battle'' from The Chronicles of Narnia series. He is a controversial character among some Christians who take the ''Chronicles'' to be allegories (as opposed to what Lewis intended), and thus have expressed disagreement with Lewis' apparent soteriology. Specifically, the salvation of Emeth is understood to be an implicit endorsement of the doctrinal idea of Inclusivism. Story Emeth is a young Calormene officer, second in command of a detachment of the Tisroc's soldiers under Rishda Tarkaan, who enter Narnia in the guise of merchants. This is part of a conspiracy to seize the north of the country by using the Narnians' faith in a false Aslan controlled by the ape Shift. While welcoming the chance to distinguish himself in battle, Emeth is troubled by the "lies and trickery" used to portray Aslan as the Narnian version of the Calormene deity Tash. When Shift and ...
