Erkki Hautamäki
Erkki Hautamäki (born 28 August 1930) is a Finnish Councilor of Education — 'opetusneuvos' in Finnish — a major of the reserve for the Finnish Defense Forces, a historian and a researcher of the history of the Finnish Wars during World War II and the Soviet war plans related to World War II. He competed in the men's decathlon at the 1952 Summer Olympics. Career In the 1960s, Hautamäki served in a special task force at the Main Headquarters of the Finnish Defense Forces. From 1970 to 1990 Hautamäki served as the headmaster of Vuokatin Urheiluopisto, the Sports Educational Center of Vuokatti, in Eastern Finland. Hautamäki published the book ''Suomi myrskyn silmässä'' (''Finland in the Eye of a Storm''), in 2005, in which both the pre-Winter War and the post-Winter War Soviet invasion plans on Finland are discussed and analyzed in detail. Erkki Korhonen (born 1956 in Hämeenlinna) is a Finnish pianist, conductor and former director of the Finnish National Opera. Education He graduated from the Sibelius Academy in 1983. Continuing his studies in piano, vocal accompaniment and conducting with such names as György Sebök, Dimitri Bashkirov, Tamas Vásáry and Hartmut Höll, he specialised in opera coaching and worked under Max Epstein, Ubaldo Gardini and Alberto Zedda as well as Marc Belfort, Tamas Blum and Ralf Weikert at the Zurich Opera. Erkki Olavi "Ere" Kokkonen (7 July 1938 – 16 October 2008), born in Savonlinna, was a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He worked closely with Spede Pasanen all the way from the 1960s until Spede's death, as a director, writer and also an actor. Kokkonen's feature film debut was '' Millipilleri'' (1966), co-directed with Spede Pasanen and Jukka Virtanen. In later decades, when Turhapuro films were made less frequently, Kokkonen scripted and directed the ''Vääpeli Körmy'' series of films His career as a director also includes filming of Arto Paasilinna's books, including ''The Ten Graters'' and ''A Charming Mass Suicide''.
