Kill Sadie
Kill Sadie (also Killsadie) was a Minneapolis-based post-hardcore band active from 1997 to 2001. The band adopted the DIY ethic of constant touring, rather than other forms of promotion. Several members of the band went on to perform with better known emo, hardcore, and indie bands including Minus the Bear, Pretty Girls Make Graves and These Arms Are Snakes. History The band formed in 1997 in the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis/St. Paul) of Minnesota. They departed from their roots in the hardcore scene to experiment with adding sonic presence, electronic beats and sampling, as well as multi-layered vocals, and their sound ranged from soft ethereal jazz to screaming hardcore. These Arms Are Snakes was an American post-hardcore band that formed in 2002 and featured former members of Botch and Kill Sadie. Before disbanding in 2009, they released three studio albums: ''Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home'' (2004), ''Easter'' (2006) and ''Tail Swallower and Dove'' (2008). Former members of These Arms Are Snakes currently play in Russian Circles, Narrows, Minus the Bear, Crypts, and Hooves. Heather Duby
Heather Duby (born July 26, 1974, in Eugene, Oregon) is an American singer-songwriter. History Heather Duby grew up in Portland, Oregon, studied at Evergreen State College, located in Olympia, Washington. She relocated to Seattle in 1994. For several years, Duby fronted her own band and worked the Seattle restaurant industry. In 1998, she worked with producer Steve Fisk to record her first album, '' Post to Wire'', on Sub Pop Records. In 2001, Duby released an EP, Symbient with the improvisational electronic band Elemental (which featured members of Maktub and FCS North. Her popularity continued to increase. In 2003, Duby released '' Come Across the River'' on Sonic Boom Recordings. African Swedish include naturalized citizens and residents of Sweden who were born in Africa. As of 2020, there are 236,975 people in Sweden who were born in Africa. Indie rock is a subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s.
