Erin King
Erin King (born 21 October 2003) is an Irish Rugby Union player who plays for the Irish Rugby Sevens national team. Early life Erin was born in Sydney, Australia to parents James and Joanne. She has four brothers - Daniel, Matty, Conor, and Liam. She also lived with her family in Dubai and Doha. The family moved back to Wicklow in Ireland for Erin’s teenage years. Erin played youths rugby at Naas RFC and represented Leinster and Ireland U18 rugby union sides. She plays her club rugby for Old Belvedere RFC. Career Erin made her debut for the Ireland team at the Dubai Sevens in December 2021, after being identified as a Player of National Interest at the age of 17 and joining the Ireland Sevens program in January 2021. Old Belvedere R.F.C. is a senior Irish rugby union club based on Anglesea Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland. Old Belvedere was originally founded in 1918–19 by former pupils of Belvedere College. Old Belvedere enters senior men's teams in the All-Ireland League, the Leinster Senior League and the Leinster Senior Cup. In 2010–11 they were All-Ireland League champions. Between 1940 and 1946 the club won the Leinster Senior Cup seven times in a row. This remains a competition record. The Ireland women's national rugby sevens team participates in international competitions such as the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series, the Rugby World Cup Sevens, the Rugby Europe Women's Sevens and Rugby sevens at the Summer Olympics. Unlike the Ireland women's national rugby union team, the sevens team is a professional team with players contracted to the Irish Rugby Football Union. Naas RFC
Naas RFC is an Irish rugby club based in Naas, Leinster. They play in division 1B of the All-Ireland League. The club colours are green and white hoops with black shorts and green socks. The Club is the biggest rugby club in Kildare with one of the biggest underage structures in Leinster and 15 LRR referees (May 2022). The club grounds are located at Forenaghts, 2 km to the East of the town. History The club was founded in 1881 and reformed in 1922. HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series
The World Rugby Men's Sevens Series is an annual series of international rugby sevens tournaments run by World Rugby featuring national sevens teams. Organised for the first time in the 1999–2000 season as the IRB World Sevens Series, the competition was formed to promote an elite-level of international rugby sevens and develop the game into a viable commercial product. The competition has been sponsored by banking group HSBC since 2014. The season's circuit consists of 10 tournaments that generally begin in November or December and last until May.
