Erik Sandin
Erik Sandin (born July 29, 1966), is an American musician and the drummer of the punk rock band NOFX, and former member of punk rock band Caustic Cause. He was a founding member of NOFX when they formed in Hollywood, California, in 1983. Two years after forming NOFX, he moved to Santa Barbara, leaving the band. In just one year without Sandin, the band had already gone through two drummers (Scott Sellers and Scott Aldahl) and in 1986 the band talked Sandin into rejoining NOFX. He has been NOFX's permanent drummer since his return in 1986, and played drums on every NOFX full-length album and EP released, including the 2007 live album ''They've Actually Gotten Worse Live!''. The band Dogpiss featured a song about him called "Erik Sandin's Stand In" on the Fat Wreck Chords compilation album ''Short Music for Short People''. Before the recording of the 1992 album ''White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean'', NOFX frontman Fat Mike gave Sandin an ultimatum. He had to quit heroin o ...

White Trash, Two Heebs And A Bean
''White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean'' is the fourth studio album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was released on November 5, 1992, through Epitaph Records. It is the first NOFX album to feature El Hefe on guitar, replacing Steve Kidwiller, who left the band in 1991. ''White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean'' was also the first NOFX album not produced by Brett Gurewitz, who produced the band's first three albums. According to the liner notes for the album, the original title was going to be ''White Trash, Two Kikes and a Spic'', but one of the band members' family members thought it was offensive, so they changed it to the title of the actual release. The title is a reference to the eclectic ethnic identities of the band members: white "trash" (Erik Sandin), two Jews (Fat Mike and Eric Melvin), and a Hispanic man (El Hefe). Track listing All songs were written by Fat Mike except "Straight Edge," originally by Minor Threat. Personnel * Fat Mike – Bass, composer, vocals, p ...

The Decline (EP)
''The Decline'' is an EP by NOFX. It was released on November 23, 1999. The CD version consisted of only the 18-minute title track, but the vinyl included a different version of "Clams Have Feelings Too" (from ''Pump Up the Valuum'') on the B-side. ''The Decline'' is largely a satire of American politics and law, with an overwhelming concern for blind behaviors of the masses, such as complacency, indifference, gun violence, drug-use, and conformity, as well as destruction of constitutional rights, and condemnation of the religious right. Although the lyrics are somewhat disjointed, they all refer back to the unifying theme of the "decline" of America. The trombone is played by Lars Nylander of Skankin' Pickle. According to the band, The first 155 copies were pressed on clear vinyl, a version which is no longer available. The first 1 min and 20 seconds of a live version of ''The Decline'' is played as an encore after "Stickin' In My Eye" on ''They've Actually Gotten Worse ...

Heavy Petting Zoo
''Heavy Petting Zoo'' (known as ''Eating Lamb'' on the LP version) is the sixth studio album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was released on January 31, 1996, through Epitaph Records. The record reached a position of No. 63 on the American ''Billboard'' 200 Albums chart, the first NOFX album to do so. In Austria ''Heavy Petting Zoo'' peaked at No. 20, while the album achieved the No. 13 position in both Sweden and Finland. Music NOFX recorded the album in October 1995 with Ryan Greene at the Razor's Edge studio, San Francisco, a garage described by the band as "a total dive". The music on ''Heavy Petting Zoo'' has been complimented as "melodic", and the album has been favorably compared to the band's 1991 ''Ribbed'' LP, but although tracks like "Hobophobic (Scared of Bums)" and "Freedom Lika Shopping Cart" have been lauded for their witty titles, they have also been criticized for being overly cynical. The track "August 8th" makes reference to the death of Jerry Garci ...

Maximum Rocknroll (album)
''Maximum Rocknroll'' is an album by NOFX. ''Maximum Rocknroll'' was originally released on compact audio cassette, cassette in 1989 by Mystic Records and again three years later on Gramophone record, LP and Compact Disc, CD. When the original cassette was released in 1989, it was released under a different title, ''E is for Everything'', though the track listing was identical to the other formats. ''E is for Everything'' is currently out of print. The tape also had a different cover, similar to the band's 1985 NOFX (EP), self-titled EP which depicts a skull with a syringe. The cover of the 1992 version depicts Fat Mike playing his bass. Despite being referred to as an official release, Fat Mike has been quoted as saying that he was not aware of the album's existence until he saw a copy of it "in a store." He has also been critical of the album, calling it a "totally sucky record", and added, "If you want to hear a totally crappy fucked album then this is the one for you. Don't ...

Liberal Animation
''Liberal Animation'' is the debut album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was originally released in 1988 through Wassail Records, which was Fat Mike's label before Fat Wreck Chords. Brett Gurewitz produced the record, and even offered to release it on his label, Epitaph Records. The band decided to self-release it instead. It was re-released through Epitaph Records in 1991 with all new artwork. The title is a spoonerism of "animal liberation" and the cover artwork is a reflection of that. Bassist/Singer, Fat Mike has stated many times that he thinks it's the worst NOFX album. He wrote the majority of the album on a guitar he bought from Lynn Strait of Snot. The track "Shut Up Already" features a short cover of the Led Zeppelin song " Black Dog". It is the only full length album by NOFX to feature Dave Cassilas on guitar. Amateur style music videos were made for the tracks "Shut Up Already" and "Mr. Jones." Track listing Personnel * Fat Mike - lead vocals, bass * Eri ...

So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes
''So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes'' is the seventh studio album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was released on November 11, 1997 through Epitaph Records. Overview The title is inspired by the fourth book of Douglas Adams's ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'' series, ''So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish'', and refers to the frequent occurrence of fans throwing footwear at the band during their live shows. The album was recorded at San Francisco's Motor Studios in August 1997 and was produced by Fat Mike and regular Fat Wreck Chords producer Ryan Greene. The liner notes for the album claim it is 'arguably their third best album' (up to that point) although Fat Mike has referred to it as his favourite one on several occasions. Also therein the standard practice of including a photograph of each band member has been mocked, with members of other punk bands standing in for the four NOFX members: * Fat Mike is replaced by Serge Verkhovsky, bassist in Limp, * El H ...
