Erik Holmey
Erik Holmey (born 25 February 1942) is a Danish actor. He has performed on stage with the Royal Danish Theatre and in a number of film and tv productions. Career Holmey made his screen debut in Erik Balling's comedy ''Takt og tone i himmelsengen'' (1972), and reached an international audience as a regular in Dino De Laurentiis' series of Robert E. Howard-films, starting with John Milius' ''Conan the Barbarian'' (1982), where his many roles include the Turanian War Officer who is asked "What is best in life?", and replies: "The open steppe, fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair!" Erik Holmey's starring roles include the vampire lord Rico Mortiz in Shaky González's action-horror film '' Nattens engel'' (1998), playing opposite Ulrich Thomsen and Mads Mikkelsen. Frederiksberg () is a part of the Capital Region of Denmark. It is formally an independent municipality, Frederiksberg Municipality, separate from Copenhagen Municipality, but both are a part of the City of Copenhagen. It occupies an area of less than 9 km2 and had a population of 103,192 in 2015. Frederiksberg is an enclave surrounded by Copenhagen Municipality. Some sources ambiguously refer to Frederiksberg as a quarter or neighbourhood of Copenhagen, being one of the four municipalities that constitute the City of Copenhagen (the other three being Copenhagen, Tårnby and Dragør). ''Oviri'' ( Tahitian for savage or wild) is an 1894 ceramic sculpture by the French artist Paul Gauguin. In Tahitian mythology, Oviri was the goddess of mourning and is shown with long pale hair and wild eyes, smothering a wolf with her feet while clutching a cub in her arms. Art historians have presented multiple interpretations—usually that Gauguin intended it as an epithet to reinforce his self-image as a "civilised savage".
