Erik Diesen
Erik Tangevald Diesen (8 October 1922 – 13 September 1999) was a Norwegian revue writer and radio and television personality. Personal life He was a son of Thorstein Diesen, Jr. (1894–1962) and Ragna Marie Tangevald (1891–1945), grandnephew of Thorstein Diesen and first cousin once removed of Einar Diesen. He was married twice. His second wife Anne Torjusson was assisting director of television in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, and through her he was a son-in-law of Aslak Torjusson. Career He was associated with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation for more than fifty years, and is regarded the founder of television entertainment in Norway. He was awarded the Amanda Honorary Award in 1989, and the Leonard Statuette in 1995. ''Leonardstatuetten'' (Leonard Statuette) is a prize awarded by the Norwegian Comedy Writers' Association. The award is named after revue instructor, composer and director Einar Leonard Schanke (1927–1992), who was one of Norway's most important revue personalities. The prize is regarded the highest distinction in Norwegian revue. Awarded from 1968 to 2013, the statuette was given to persons with a significant and lasting importance to Norway's entertainment industry. The statuette was again awarded in 2019, when Eldar Vågan was the recipient. Aslak Torjusson (4 March 1891 – 26 April 1973) was a Norwegian educator. He was born in Rauland Rauland is a former municipality in Telemark county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1860 until its dissolution in 1964. The area is now part of Vinje Municipality. The administrative centre was the village of Raulandsgrend (also known ....
