Erik Burgdoerfer
Erik Lawrence Burgdoerfer (born December 11, 1988) is an American former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators. Playing career Burgdoerfer attended Ward Melville High School for four years while playing for the New York Apple Core in the Eastern Hockey League. While playing for the New York Apple Core, he was named to the All-EJHL Team. Collegiate Burgdoerfer played college hockey for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of ECAC Hockey. In his freshman year at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he played in 23 games and recorded 2 points. He shared the honor of winning the Engineers Most Improved Player Award with Andrei Uryadov. In his senior year, the 2009–10 season, Burgdoerfer played in a career high 39 games and scored seven points. The Oklahoma City Barons were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). The team's first season was 2010–11 AHL season, 2010–11. They played their home games at the Cox Convention Center, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. Players who gain an assist will get one point added to their player statistics. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Mark Borowiecki
Mark Borowiecki (pronounced BOR-vee-ETZ-kee) (born July 12, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the first Ottawa native to be drafted by the Senators when he was selected 139th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Borowiecki's physical play has earned him the nickname "Boro Cop" since joining the Senators' organization. Playing career Amateur Borowiecki played two seasons of junior hockey with the Smiths Falls Bears of the Central Junior Hockey League (CJHL) from 2006 until 2008. 2018–19 AHL Season
The 2018–19 AHL season was the 83rd season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began October 5, 2018 and ended April 15, 2019. The 2019 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. League changes The league expanded by adding the Colorado Eagles to the Pacific Division and moved the two Texas-based teams to the Central Division from the Pacific. The Cleveland Monsters were moved from the Central to the North Division. Similar to the California and Arizona teams in the Pacific Division, Colorado plays 68 games in the regular season. This gave the Pacific Division a balanced schedule for the first time since its creation in 2015 and removed the necessity for playoff qualification based on points percentage.
