Erie Illusion
The Erie Illusion was a women's football team playing in the United States Women's Football League and they were based in Erie, Pennsylvania. Their team colors was orange and purple; the team played at Erie Veterans Memorial Stadium. Mary Butler was the owner and general manager of the franchise. Troy Allen was the Illusion's final head coach. History They began playing in 2003 as a member of the National Women's Football Association, finishing the season with a 0-8 record. After bringing in a new coaching staff with significant collegiate playing experience, the team improved in 2004 and finished with a 1-7 overall record. The Cleveland Fusion is a women's professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. They play in the Women's Football Alliance. The Fusion played in the National Women's Football Association from their inception in 2002 until 2008. Home games are played at Mustang Stadium at Maple Heights High School. The Pittsburgh Force is an inactive women's American Football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Home games were last played at William V. Campbell Athletic Field in nearby Munhall. The New England Intensity was an American football team in the Independent Women's Football League based in Medway, Massachusetts. Home games were played at Joseph P. Hanlon Field on the campus of Medway High School in Medway. For its first season, in 2003, the Intensity was known as the Rhode Island Riptide. Games were played at Pierce Field in East Providence, Rhode Island. The following two seasons the team was known as the Rhode Island Intensity. The team moved to Medway, going by the "New England" locale name, the Intensity played in the Women's Professional Football League before going back to the IWFL the following year. The Wisconsin Warriors were a football team in the Independent Women's Football League. Based in Greendale, the Warriors played their home games on the campus of Greendale High School. The Warriors were the defending IWFL North American Champions of 2009. The Binghamton Tiger Cats played their sixth season overall and fourth as a member of the Women's Spring Football League (WSFL) in 2014. The Tiger Cats Women's Tackle Football team based in Binghamton, New York began play for its inaugural 2009 season as a member of the Women's Football Alliance and for the 2010 season as a member of the Independent Women's Football League.
