Erie Express
The Erie Express are a professional American football minor-league team based in Erie, Pennsylvania. They compete in the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) as a member of the Eastern Xtreme West Division. Founded in 2011, the Express are the reigning 2021 GDFL champions. The team plays at Saxon Stadium, a football venue on the campus of Mercyhurst University in Erie. The "Express" name alludes to Erie being a long-time hub for trains and rail transportation. In 1910, GE Transportation built a locomotive assembly plant in nearby Lawrence Park and designed the entire company town there, which is still in operation today. The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) is a low-level american football minor league based in Memphis, Tennessee, using the franchise model. , the league has 63 teams. Navy Midshipmen Football
The Navy Midshipmen football team represents the United States Naval Academy in NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) college football. The Naval Academy completed its final season as an FBS independent school (not in a conference) in 2014, and became a single-sport member of the American Athletic Conference beginning in the 2015 season. The team is currently coached by Brian Newberry, who was promoted in 2022, following his stint as the Midshipmen defensive coordinator. A keystone (or capstone) is the wedge-shaped stone at the apex of a masonry arch or typically round-shaped one at the apex of a vault. In both cases it is the final piece placed during construction and locks all the stones into position, allowing the arch or vault to bear weight. In arches and vaults (such as quasi-domes) keystones are often enlarged beyond the structural requirements and decorated. A variant in domes and crowning vaults is a lantern. Keystones, as a hallmark of strength or good architecture, or their suggested form are sometimes placed in the centre of the flat top of doors, recesses and windows for decorative effect, so as to form an upward projection of a lintel. The wedge plow or Bucker plow was first developed by railroad companies to clear snow in the American West. The wedge plow forces snow to the sides of the tracks and therefore requires a large amount of force due to the compression of snow.
