Erick Aybar
Erick Johan Aybar (born January 14, 1984) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers and San Diego Padres. Professional career Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Aybar was signed by the then Anaheim Angels as an amateur free agent in 2002. He made his professional debut with the rookie ball Provo Angels. He spent the 2003 season with the Single-A Cedar Rapids Kernels, slashing .308/.346/.446 with 6 home runs and 57 RBI. In 2004, Aybar played for the High-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, batting .330/.370/.485 in 136 games with career-highs in home runs (14) and RBI (65). In baseball, a home run (abbreviated HR) is scored when the ball is hit in such a way that the batter is able to circle the bases and reach home plate safely in one play without any errors being committed by the defensive team. In baseball, a pinch runner is a player substituted for the specific purpose of replacing another player on base. The pinch runner may be faster or otherwise more skilled at base-running than the player for whom the pinch runner has been substituted.
