Erica Oyama (born 28 March 1981) is a television writer and producer. She created and wrote the comedy series '' Burning Love''. Oyama was born to a Japanese karate teacher and an american mother in Birmingham, Alabama, and went to the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She is married to actor and comedian Ken Marino. She is sister to comedian Zac Oyama, known for his work in CollegeHumor videos and their tabletop roleplaying game series '' Dimension 20''. ''Burning Love'' is a web and television comedy series that is a spoof of reality dating competition shows like '' The Bachelor'' and ''The Bachelorette''. The show was created and written by Erica Oyama, while her husband, Ken Marino, co-produced, directed and starred in the series. Ben Stiller was one of the series' executive producers and appeared in a supporting role. The show premiered on the web on Yahoo! Screen's Comedy Channel and was later picked up for television. The Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA) is a public, tuition-free partially boarding state middle and high school located in downtown Birmingham, Alabama, United States. Kenneth Joseph Marino (born December 19, 1968) is an American actor, comedian, director, and screenwriter. He was a cast member on MTV's ''The State'' and has starred in shows such as ''Party Down'', '' Marry Me'', ''Burning Love'', and ''Childrens Hospital''. He played the Lehman brothers on the Showtime series ''Black Monday''. Early life Marino was born on Long Island, New York, to an Italian-American family.
