Eric Zschech
Eric Leslie Zschech (19 June 1909 – 3 October 1981) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) between 1930 and 1935 for the Richmond Football Club. He formed part of the legendary Tiger centreline of Geddes, Zschech and Judkins who played in four Grand Finals in a row from 1931 to 1934. Minyip is a town in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia, north west of Melbourne. It is in the Shire of Yarriambiack local government area. At the , Minyip had a population of 524. The name "Minyip" is derived from an Aboriginal word for "ashes" or "camping place". The town is known as the "Heart of the Wheat Belt". Dryland agriculture especially grain production and handling is one of the region's major industries. History The area was first settled by European selectors in about 1872. The Tasmanian State League (TSL), colloquially known as the "Tasmanian Football League (TFL)" (formerly known as the "Tasmanian Australian National Football League (TANFL)" and several other short-term names) is the highest ranked Australian rules football league in Tasmania, Australia. Lefroy Football Club were an Australian rules football club which competed in the Tasmanian Football League (TFL/TANFL). They were known as ''The Blues'' and played their home games at North Hobart Oval as well as the Tasmanian Cricket Association Ground. Lefroy players wore dark and light blue as their club colours. The club was formed at a meeting called by Mr Oscar H. AFL Grand Final
The AFL Grand Final is an Australian rules football match to determine the premiers for the Australian Football League (AFL) season. From its inception until 1989, it was known as the VFL Grand Final, as the league at that time was the Victorian Football League. Played at the end of the finals series, the game has been held annually since 1898, except in 1924. It is traditionally staged on the afternoon of the last Saturday in September, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
