Eric Visser
Eric Visser (born 4 June 1951) is the founder of both the Dutch publishing house De Geus and the Dutch-based publishing house World Editions. De Geus In 1983, he founded Dutch independent publishing house De Geus. Since then, he has always worked in publishing, as a publisher and managing director of De Geus. The start was difficult; De Geus was based in Breda, while most of the other publishing houses were in Amsterdam, because of this others didn’t think De Geus would be successful. But as a firm believer in the saying: "The world starts where you are", Visser was prepared to do the hard work. He even typed out and stapled the pages of the first title himself. And the hard work paid off; De Geus grew steadily each year. To date, De Geus has published over 2500 books. Hossein Sadjadi Ghaemmaghami Farahani ( fa, حسین سجادی قائممقامی فراهانی, better known by his pen name Kader Abdolah ( fa, قادر عبدالله, links=no) (Arak, 12 November 1954), is an Iranian-Dutch writer, poet and columnist. His books, written in Dutch, often contain Persian literary themes. He regularly appears on Dutch TV as well. Life Kader Abdolah is one of the descendants of Mirza Abu'l-Qasem Qa'em-Maqam, the Iranian politician during the Qajar period who was also affiliated with art and literature. Kader Abdolah had long wished to become an author. He used his political passion to begin his career after the Islamic revolution in 1979 by writing articles in the leftist political newspapers. Royal Norwegian Order Of Merit
The Royal Norwegian Order of Merit (Norwegian: ''Den Kongelige Norske Fortjenstorden'' (Bokmål) or ''Den Kongelege Norske Fortenesteordenen'' (Nynorsk)) was instituted by King Olav V in 1985. The ''Ordre des Arts et des Lettres'' (Order of Arts and Letters) is an order of France established on 2 May 1957 by the Minister of Culture. Its supplementary status to the was confirmed by President Charles de Gaulle in 1963. Ayesha Harruna Attah (born December 1983) is a Ghanaian-born fiction writer. She lives in Senegal. The Collectieve Propaganda van het Nederlandse Boek (CPNB, "Collective Promotion for the Dutch Book") is a Dutch organization that includes representatives of bookstores and publishers, whose goal is to promote Dutch literature. Annelies Verbeke
Annelies Verbeke (born 6 February 1976) is a Belgian author who writes in Dutch. She made her name with the novel ''Slaap!'' (Sleep!) which has been translated into several languages. Biography Verbeke studied language and literature at Ghent University before attending a scriptwriting course in Brussels. In 2003, she gained instant fame with her first novel ''Slaap!'' Guan Moye (; born 17 February 1955), better known by the pen name Mo Yan (, ), is a Chinese novelist and short story writer.
