Eric Guy
Eric Arthur Guy (18 August 1932 – 3 May 1991) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the VFL. Family The youngest of the nine children of Willie Guy (1886-1946), and Ruby May Guy (1889-1960), née Sawyer, Eric Arthur Guy was born on 18 August 1932. His older brother, Wally Guy, played VFL football for the North Melbourne Football Club, and his nephew, Gary Guy played VFL football for the North Melbourne Football Club. Football Dromana (MPFL) As a teenager, Guy played 26 games for the Dromana Football Club in the Mornington Peninsula Football League. Carrum (MPFL) He transferred to the Carrum Football Club, also in the MPFL. Tynong, Victoria
Tynong is a town in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, 66 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shire of Cardinia local government area. Tynong recorded a population of 523 at the 2021 census. Tynong was settled in the early 1880s and the Post Office opened on 1 November 1882. 1952 VFA Season
The 1952 Victorian Football Association season was the 71st season of the Australian rules football competition. The premiership was won by the Oakleigh Football Club, after it defeated Port Melbourne by 21 points in the Grand Final on 4 October. It was Oakleigh's fourth VFA premiership. Allan Jeans
Allan Lindsay Jeans (21 September 1933 – 13 July 2011) was an Australian rules footballer and coach. He was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame at its inception in 1996. Jeans was known for his oratory and motivation skills as a coach and led St Kilda and Hawthorn to a total of four premierships. AFL career Allan Jeans was recruited to St.Kilda after playing in Finley Football Club's 1954 Murray Football League (MFL) senior premiership, and he was also runner up in the 1954 MFL O’Dwyer Medal. After a modest 77-game playing career with the St Kilda Football Club (1955–1959), Jeans, known as "Yabby", took the reins of the Saints in 1961 for a remarkable 16-year career as senior coach. Peter Knights
Peter Knights (born 30 March 1952) is a former Australian rules footballer and coach who represented in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Widely regarded as one of Australian football's finest centre half-backs, despite suffering numerous injuries, Knights was recognized for his contribution to the game when he was among the inaugural inductees into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996 and later in the Hawthorn Team of the Century. The Ellinbank and District Football League is an Australian rules football and Netball League, based in the West Gippsland region of Victoria for smaller towns and villages in the regions of Baw Baw, South Gippsland and Cardinia. Brunswick Football Club was an Australian rules football club which played in the Victorian Football League, Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1897 until 1991. Based in Brunswick, Victoria, for most of their time in the Association they were known as the Magpies, and wore black and white guernseys.
