Eric Gillette
Eric Gillette (born August 14, 1984) is an American multi-instrumentalist from Dallas, Texas. He is the lead guitarist, vocalist and keyboardist for the Neal Morse Band as well as a solo artist and session musician. Although primarily a guitarist, he often plays keyboards and drums as part of his professional work. Biography Gillette began taking piano lessons as a child and learned to play the guitar as a teenager. His father and aunt taught him chords, and he spent time jamming with his aunt's bluegrass band. In 2010, he began playing guitar and providing background vocals for The Swon Brothers, three years before their appearance on The Voice. He went on to play electric guitar for their album ''The Swon Brothers''. He married his wife, Jaci Lynn, on October 10, 2014, about a year after they met at a Swon Brothers show. Mike Portnoy
Michael Stephen Portnoy (born April 20, 1967) is an American musician who is primarily known as the former drummer, backing vocalist, and co-founder of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. In September 2010, Portnoy announced his departure from Dream Theater after 25 years, with Mike Mangini taking his place as drummer of the band. Since his departure Portnoy has remained active, with a variety of bands and projects, including Adrenaline Mob, Transatlantic, Yellow Matter Custard, Flying Colors, The Winery Dogs, Liquid Tension Experiment, Metal Allegiance, Sons of Apollo, the Neal Morse Band and BPMD. Liquid Tension Experiment (LTE) is an American instrumental progressive metal supergroup, founded by Mike Portnoy, then Dream Theater's drummer, in 1997. The band has released two albums through Magna Carta Records. A third album, with the absence of John Petrucci was released in 2007 under the name "Liquid Trio Experiment". A live album with the absence of Jordan Rudess (mostly) was released in 2009 under the name "Liquid Trio Experiment 2". Three live albums and two videos were released in 2009 by the complete band. ''Innocence & Danger'' is the fourth album by American progressive rock group The Neal Morse Band (now stylized as "NMB"), released on August 27, 2021. It is Morse's twelfth progressive rock studio album overall. It is their first non-concept album following ''The Similitude of a Dream'' (2016) and '' The Great Adventure'' (2019), both inspired by John Bunyan's ''The Pilgrim's Progress''. The album was recorded over a week in the beginning of 2021 and for the first time Morse did not bring any demos with his ideas to the studio. In support of the album, the band embarked on a 2022 tour around the United States and Europe. The first single, "Do It All Again", was released with a video on June 21, 2021. It was the first song to be written for the album and serves as its opener. ''The Great Adventure'' is the third studio album by American progressive rock supergroup The Neal Morse Band, released on January 25, 2019 via Metal Blade Records and Radiant Records. A concept album, it is a sequel to 2016's '' The Similitude of a Dream'' and both are loosely based on ''The Pilgrim's Progress'' by John Bunyan, besides having similar covers. This album follows the protagonist's family as they journey to Celestial City to join him. It is divided in five chapters, each ranging from 13 to 31 minutes long and involving from 2 to 6 songs, some of them evoking earlier melodies or preluding future ones. ''The Grand Experiment'' is the first album by the progressive rock supergroup The Neal Morse Band. The album was composed and recorded over a short period of time, with no preparation work before entering the studio. This is the first time Morse has recorded this way, with no pre-prepared material (and as a completely collaborative effort with his new band), hence the album's title.
