Eric D. Clark
Eric D. Clark (born 1966) is a US-American musician. After growing up in California, he moved to Europe. While living in Cologne, he made a major contribution to the city's music scene in the 1990s though his clubs and DJing work, blending disco and house music. He formed Whirlpool Productions with Justus Köhncke and Hans Nieswandt, which had hits in a number of European countries, including "From Disco to Disco", which reached number 1 in the Italian charts. While continuing to release records and perform with Whirlpool Productions, he also released a number of solo albums, including 1998's ''Für Dancefloor'' (on Ladomat 2000) and ''E=dC2'' on Kompakt in 2007. Single releases include 2001's "Another Night, Another Disco" (on Sony BMG). He worked with Amanda Lear and Giorgio Moroder to produce a new version of Moroder's track " From Here to Eternity". Amanda Lear (; born 1939) is a French singer, songwriter, painter, television presenter, actress, and former model. She began her professional career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s, and went on to model for Paco Rabanne, Ossie Clark, and others. She met Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, and remained his closest friend and muse for the next 15 years. Lear first came into the public eye as the cover model for Roxy Music's album ''For Your Pleasure'' in 1973. Mouse on Mars is a German electronic music duo formed in 1993 by Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma. Their music is a blend of electronic genres including IDM, dub, krautrock, breakbeat and ambient, featuring heavy use of organic analog synth and cross-frequency modulation. Their music also features live instrumentation including strings, horns, drums, bass, and guitar. History St. Werner, from Cologne, and Toma, from Düsseldorf, are childhood friends who were born on the same day and in the same hospital. They both experimented with electronic music in the mid 1990s. Merrill Nisker (born 11 November 1966), better known by her stage name Peaches, is a Canadian electroclash musician and producer. Angie Reed is an American electronica vocalist and multiinstrumentalist, now living in Berlin. After playing in Angie et ses Tigres, she joined Stereo Total at the age of 21 as a bassist and vocalist. She left the band to pursue a solo career in 2000. Her debut solo concept album, '' Presents the Best of Barbara Brockhaus'', recorded at Chicks on Speed Records and produced by Patric Catani and Bomb 20, was released in 2003. Giovanni Giorgio Moroder (, ; born 26 April 1940) is an Italian composer, songwriter, and record producer. Dubbed the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Father of Disco", Moroder is credited with pioneering euro disco and electronic dance music. His work with synthesizers had a large influence on several music genres such as Hi-NRG, Italo disco, new wave, house and techno music.
