Eric Bassey
Eric O. Bassey (born January 23, 1983 in Garland, Texas) is a former American football safety. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Oklahoma. Early years Bassey Attended North Garland High School in Garland, Texas, where he played wide receiver and defensive back in addition to returning kicks. He also excelled in track as a member of a 4×100-meter relay team that finished second in the state championship meet and he won state championship in 400-meter event. College career Bassey played college football at Oklahoma. He played in 48 games totaling 112 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three interceptions. Safety (American Football Position)
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. While American (11-player) formations generally use two safeties, Canadian (12-player) formations generally have one safety and two defensive halfbacks, a position not used in the American game. Eddie Kennison
Eddie Joseph Kennison, III (born January 20, 1973) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Louisiana State University and was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft. Kennison also played for the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. Early years Kennison attended Washington-Marion High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and was a star in both football and track. In football, as a senior, he was a ''Parade'' All-American despite playing only six games. He finished his senior year with 27 receptions for 497 yards (18.4 yards per reception avg.). Tommie Harris
Tommie Harris, Jr. (born April 29, 1983) is a former American football defensive tackle who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, and was recognized as a consensus All-American twice. The Chicago Bears chose him in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft, and he also played a season for the San Diego Chargers. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection. Fall Experimental Football League
The Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL) was a professional football minor league that played two seasons in 2014 and 2015. This league's stated goal was to become a professional feeder-system for the National Football League (NFL). The league claimed 44 out of 126 players ended up on NFL rosters. After the FXFL ceased operations, FXFL founder and CEO Brian Woods made another attempt at an NFL feeder-system by creating The Spring League in 2017. Woods and the FXFL were subject to lawsuit after folding, claiming he did not pay players, assistant coaches, cheerleaders and officials. Texas Outlaws (football)
The Texas Outlaws were a proposed professional football team based in Austin, Texas. They were to be members of Fall Experimental Football League. The team was owned by former NFL players Tommie Harris and Eric Bassey. They announced that the team colors were to be platinum and black, but had yet to announce a home stadium. They shared the mascot name with another team in Austin, the Austin Outlaws of the Women's Football Alliance. The Outlaws did not play in FXFL's inaugural 2014 season. As of the end of the 2014 season, the team was still being considered as a possibility for 2015, however, they were not included in that season's schedule and were assumed to have folded.
