Eric Barriere
Eric Barriere (born December 27, 1997) is an American football quarterback for the Michigan Panthers of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football for Eastern Washington University. Barriere won the Walter Payton Award for the 2021 FCS season, an award given to the top offensive player in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Early life and high school Barriere grew up in Inglewood, California and attended La Habra High School in La Habra, California. He finished his high school career with 7,586 passing yards and 104 touchdowns and also rushed for 1,718 yards and 26 touchdowns. College career Barriere redshirted his true freshman season. 2022 Michigan Panthers Season
The 2022 season was the Michigan Panthers' first season as a professional American football franchise. They played as charter members of the United States Football League, one of eight teams to compete in the league for the 2022 season. The Panthers technically played as a traveling team due to them playing at Protective Stadium and Legion Field. The Panthers were led by head coach Jeff Fisher, who also operated as the ''de facto'' general manager. Offseason Draft The 2022 USFL draft was conducted entirely on social media. 2022 USFL Season
The 2022 USFL season is the planned inaugural season of the United States Football League (USFL), and the first by a league of the name since the 1985 season of the previous incarnation of the league. Planned to be played from April 16, 2022 to June 2022, it will involve eight teams, and will be played in its entirety in Birmingham, Alabama. Background Broadcasting Fox Sports is the league's official broadcast partner, and plans to split the games' broadcast rights equally between Fox, FS1, NBC and USA Network. On December 15, 2021, Fox and NBC had finalized their deals with the latter joined as official broadcast and streaming partner. The 2022 NFL Draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30. Cole Kelley
Cole Kelley (born October 27, 1997) is an American football quarterback for the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at Arkansas and Southeastern Louisiana. Kelley signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but was released prior to the season. College career Kelley played football and basketball at Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. He joined the University of Arkansas as a four-star recruit in 2016. He started four games as a redshirt freshman in 2017 and two games the following year before transferring to Southeastern Louisiana University in 2019.
