Gülben Ergen (; born 25 August 1972) is a Turkish singer and actress. Ergen started her career as an actress, and later decided to enter the music industry. She started her music career as a headliner. In 2001, for her role as Melek in the comedy series ''Dadı'' which adaptation of "The Nanny", she won the award for Best Actress at the Golden Butterfly Awards. In 2002, the lead single from her album ''Sade ve Sadece'' was awarded the Best Composition of the Year at the Turkey Music Awards. In 2004 Ergen's album ''Uçacaksın'' sold 600,000 copies and received a diamond certification from Mü-Yap. In 2009, Ergen and Oğuzhan Koç released the song "Giden Günlerim Oldu" which became a number-one hit on Türkçe Top 20. As of 2015, her albums have sold 2 million copies in total. Charlie Ergen
Charles William Ergen (born March 1, 1953) is an American billionaire businessman. He is co-founder and chairman of Dish Network and EchoStar. He stepped down as CEO of Dish in May 2011 in favor of Joseph Clayton. Ergen resumed as CEO upon Clayton's March 2015 retirement and was CEO until December 2017, when he promoted president and COO Erik Carlson to CEO, but remains as chairman. Reuters reported that the move was effected to remove the day-to-day responsibilities of running DISH and provide more time for Ergen to build out the company's emerging wireless business. Ergen owns 48 percent of Dish and 46 percent of Echostar shares. He holds 78 percent of Dish's and 72 percent of EchoStar's total voting power. Mehmet Ergen is a Turkish theatre director, producer and entrepreneur, currently based in London Borough of Hackney. Biography After completing a nine-month acting course in Turkey, Mehmet decided to become a director. He put an ad in ''The Stage'' inviting applicants to join a new theater company, and began putting on plays in pub theaters. Soon after, Ergen co-founded the Southwark Playhouse with Juliet Alderdice and Tom Wilson in 1993. Ergen and his colleagues created the Theater after identifying possible areas in need for an accessible theater, which would provide its surrounding community with a hub for creativity. They converted a disused workshop into a theater space which quickly gained popularity, and by working closely with local teachers, the city council, businesses and government agencies, they were able to develop an innovative, free at source, education program.
