Erek Hansen (born August 31, 1982) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for Kolejlíler. Ranks third in career blocked shots with 212. In 2006, he had 89 blocked shots, the third best single season total at Iowa. His 83 blocked shots in 2005 ranks fourth best for a single season. He led the Big Ten in blocked shots as both a junior and senior. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense.
