Ere Kokkonen
Erkki Olavi "Ere" Kokkonen (7 July 1938 – 16 October 2008), born in Savonlinna, was a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He worked closely with Spede Pasanen all the way from the 1960s until Spede's death, as a director, writer and also an actor. Kokkonen's feature film debut was '' Millipilleri'' (1966), co-directed with Spede Pasanen and Jukka Virtanen. In later decades, when Turhapuro films were made less frequently, Kokkonen scripted and directed the ''Vääpeli Körmy'' series of films His career as a director also includes filming of Arto Paasilinna's books, including ''The Ten Graters'' and ''A Charming Mass Suicide''. Kokkonen worked for both YLE and MTV3, where he served as entertainment director from 1974 to 1984. Kokkonen was the founder of the Comedy Theater Arena in 1995. Savonlinna
Savonlinna (, , ; sv, Nyslott, lit=New Castle) is a town and a municipality of inhabitants in the southeast of Finland, in the heart of the Saimaa lake region, which is why the city is also nicknamed the "Capital of Saimaa". Uuno Turhapuro – This Is My Life
''Uuno Turhapuro – This Is My Life'' is a 2004 Finnish comedy film, made as a tribute to Spede Pasanen. It is the twentieth and last installment in the Uuno Turhapuro film series. Plot Uuno disguises as an old man and infiltrates a nursing home for rich old people, where his father-in-law also lives. The ever-hungry Uuno is seduced by the table groaning with food, but as it happens, he never manages to be there at dinnertime. Meanwhile, Sörsselssön enters Uuno for a TV competition named ''This Is My Life'', where contestants tell about their life as viewers vote them either to continue or out of the show. The nursing home elderly watch on TV as Uuno tells the show's host his life story. Production After Spede Pasanen died in 2001, a group led by Ere Kokkonen decided to make a final Turhapuro movie in remembrance of him. ''Uuno Turhapuro muuttaa maalle'' (''"Uuno Turhapuro moves to the country"'') is a 1986 Finnish comedy film, the 11th film in the ''Uuno Turhapuro'' film series. The film attracted a total of 556,519 viewers. It is the fourth most successful ''Uuno Turhapuro'' films. It was filmed in twenty days, from 22 May to 17 June 1986. The countryside scenes were filmed in Heinola, around the Viikinäinen vacation resort. The scene where Tuura visits a psychiatrist was filmed in Spede Pasanen's office in the MTV studios. The film shows Spede's invention's "alarm clock", "cross between a Mercedes-Benz and a Volkswagen Beetle", and "boiling machine", which were previously shown in Spede's films ''X-Paroni'' and '' Pähkähullu Suomi''. It was seen by more than 600,000 people in the theatres. Plot Uuno Turhapuro (played by Vesa-Matti Loiri) is searching for a job and takes a correspondence course in tour guiding. Eventually he gets a job in a small travel agency and takes a group of Finnish tourists to Marbella, Spain. ''Lottovoittaja UKK Turhapuro'' is a Finnish 1976 comedy film written by Spede Pasanen and directed by Ere Kokkonen. It is the third film in the Uuno Turhapuro series. The film's title translates to "Lottery winner UKK Turhapuro", UKK being an apparent reference to former President of Finland Urho Kekkonen. Plot It is the first anniversary of Uuno (Vesa-Matti Loiri) and Elisabet ( Marjatta Raita). Uuno has placed a bet with his friend Härski-Hartikainen (Spede Pasanen) a year ago, that if Uuno can take just one year of marriage with Elisabet, Hartikainen will treat him a festive dinner.
