Eraserheads (sometimes stylized as ERASƎRHEADS or ƎRASƎRHƎADS) are a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989. With a line-up comprising Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, the band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music. Enneads
The ''Enneads'' ( grc-gre, Ἐννεάδες), fully ''The Six Enneads'', is the collection of writings of the philosopher Plotinus, edited and compiled by his student Porphyry (270). Plotinus was a student of Ammonius Saccas, and together they were founders of Neoplatonism. His work, through Augustine of Hippo, the Cappadocian Fathers, Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite and several subsequent Christian and Muslim thinkers, has greatly influenced Western and Near-Eastern thought. Contents Porphyry edited the writings of Plotinus in fifty-four treatises, which vary greatly in length and number of chapters, mostly because he split original texts and joined others together to match this very number. Hilera
Hilera is a Filipino rock band formed in December 2004. Originally a three-piece band, it currently consists of Chris Padilla, Bobby Padilla, Luke Xavier Bayhon and JC Tayag. Formation In February 2004, bandmates Chris Padilla and Ivan Garcia decided to form their own three-piece band. After months of searching, Padilla's brother Bobby was showing potential with his drumming skills. They decided to move forward with their lineup, and in December 2004 Hilera was officially formed. The band joined the Nescafe Soundskool Battle of the Bands in 2005. The young band won the top spot and scored a recording contract with EMI Philippines. and release their first self titled debut album on October 30, 2006. ''Eraserhead'' is a 1977 American surrealist film, surrealist horror film written, directed, produced, and edited by David Lynch. Lynch also created its Eraserhead (soundtrack), score and sound design, which included pieces by a variety of other musicians. Shot in black and white, it was Lynch's first feature-length effort following several short films. Starring Jack Nance, Charlotte Stewart, Jeanne Bates, Judith Roberts (actress), Judith Anna Roberts, Laurel Near, and Jack Fisk, it tells the story of a man who is left to care for his grossly deformed child in a desolate industrial landscape. The MTV Asia Awards was the Asian equivalent of the European MTV EMA. The 1997 MTV Video Music Awards aired live on September 4, 1997, honoring the best music videos from June 17, 1996, to June 16, 1997. The show was hosted by Chris Rock at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. American singer Beck took home the most Moonmen of the night, winning a total of five awards. British acid jazz band Jamiroquai closely followed, though, taking home four awards including the coveted Video of the Year prize. ''Cutterpillow'' (stylized as ''CUTTƎRPILLOW'') is the third studio album by Filipino alternative rock group Eraserheads. It was released in the Philippines on December 8, 1995 by BMG Records (Pilipinas), Inc. The album became a highlight in Pinoy music as it introduced classic songs such as "Huwag Mo Nang Itanong", "Overdrive", and the popular "Ang Huling El Bimbo". It was both critically and commercially successful, certifying 11× Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). To date, the album has sold over 400,000 units in the country, becoming the third biggest-selling album in OPM history and the biggest for any Filipino band or group. Rivermaya is a Filipino alternative rock band. Formed in 1994, it is one of the several bands who spearheaded the 1990s Philippine alternative rock explosion. Rivermaya is currently composed of original members Mark Escueta and Nathan Azarcon, together with longest serving guitarist Mike Elgar. Notable former original members include chief songwriter Rico Blanco and vocalist Bamboo Mañalac, who later formed the band Bamboo and later went on his solo career. Rivermaya is one of the top thirty best-selling artists in Philippine history.
