''Eraser Cut'' is an EP by the Creatures, consisting of singer Siouxsie Sioux and drummer Budgie formerly of Siouxsie and the Banshees. It contains four unreleased songs taken from the '' Anima Animus'' recording sessions which took place in 1995–1996. This EP was later included on the compilation ''U.S. Retrace''. After the last Banshees tour, the Creatures reconvened in autumn 1995. In April 1996, when the Banshees officially called it a day, Siouxsie and Budgie announced that the Creatures were now their full-time effort. This EP was the first release of the Creatures since 1989's '' Boomerang''. ''Eraser Cut'' was released in August 1998 on both 10-inch vinyl and CD. Prior to that, a stand-alone single "Sad Cunt" had been issued in a limited edition a few months earlier in May and given away at two Creatures concerts in London. The Creatures were an English band formed in 1981 by vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and drummer Budgie (musician), Budgie of the group Siouxsie and the Banshees. The Creatures released their first extended play, EP ''Wild Things (EP), Wild Things'' in 1981. They recorded four studio albums: ''Feast (The Creatures album), Feast'' in 1983, ''Boomerang (The Creatures album), Boomerang'' in 1989, ''Anima Animus'' in 1999 and ''Hái!'' in 2003. Anima Animus
''Anima Animus'' is the third studio album by British duo the Creatures, consisting of Siouxsie Sioux and musician Budgie, released in 1999. The title of the album was inspired by Carl Jung's concept of anima and animus ("the woman inside the man, the man inside the woman"). Recorded in France and England, the album was a departure from previous Creatures works. While still retaining a percussive element, the music had a more urban sound. Upon its release, the record was well received by critics. She was the lead singer of the rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees (1976–1996). "Stargazer" is a song written, produced, and performed by English rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was released as the second single from the band's 11th studio album, '' The Rapture''. It was the band's last single released, due to their disbandment the following year. Background and music The track is an up-tempo, guitar-driven pop tune. It was slightly remixed by Mark Saunders for its single release, bringing the bass further forward in the mix. Club remixes were produced by Juno Reactor. Lyrically the song casts Siouxsie Sioux as a dreamer who looks up at the stars and wishes for a better life and to "escape this straitjacket of constraint". Budgie (drummer)
Peter Edward Clarke (born 21 August 1957), known professionally as Budgie, is an English drummer best known as the drummer in Siouxsie and the Banshees. He is also the co-founder of the Creatures. He was the drummer of the Slits in 1979. He was then a member of the band Siouxsie and the Banshees from 1979 to 1996. Budgie worked with other musicians including John Cale, Leonard Eto (formerly of the Kodo Drummers), John Grant and Anohni with Hercules and Love Affair.
