''Er Più – storia d'amore e di coltello'' is a 1971 Italian black comedy film directed by Sergio Corbucci. The film is inspired by the true story of roman Romeo Ottaviani bully called ''er Tinèa''. Plot summary The story is set in Rome in 1900. In a seedy area of the city, "borghiciano" Nino Patroni, called in Roman dialect "Er Più de Borgo", seeks to marry a fellow rogue with his sister. Nino also tries to fix himself with the beautiful turbines Rosa, but the girl is disputed by the protagonist with the squire Augustarello, leader of a gang of thugs in the village adverse to that of Nino. After moments of respite and battles with stab wounds, Nino manages to make peace with the family of Augustarello; as a matter of fact, after Nino wounded in a duel, Augustarello accidentally killes himself with his stab.Nino, in view of the wedding, makes also peace with the police officer who arrests him often because of his fights. Sergio Corbucci
Sergio Corbucci (; 6 December 1926 – 1 December 1990) was an Italian film director, screenwriter and producer. He directed both very violent Spaghetti Westerns and bloodless Bud Spencer and Terence Hill action comedies. He is the older brother of screenwriter and film director Bruno Corbucci. Biography Early career Corbucci was born in Rome. He started his career by directing mostly low-budget sword and sandal movies. Among his first Spaghetti Westerns were the films ''Grand Canyon Massacre'' (1964), which he co-directed (under the pseudonym, Stanley Corbett) with Albert Band, as well as '' Minnesota Clay'' (1964), his first solo directed Spaghetti Western. Gino Pernice (6 May 1927 – 25 April 1997) was an Italian stage, television and film actor. Life and career Born in Milan, Pernice trained at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici graduating in 1952, and made his professional debut with the stage company of Fantasio Piccoli at the Teatro Stabile of Bolzano. His breakthrough role was Tobia in a staging of ''Twelfth Night'' held by the De Lullo- Falk- Guarnieri-Valli's "Compagnia dei Giovani". Antonio "Tonino" Guerra (16 March 1920 – 21 March 2012) was an Italian poet, writer and screenwriter who collaborated with some of the most prominent film directors in the world. Life and work Guerra was born in Santarcangelo di Romagna. According to his obituary in ''The Guardian'', Guerra first started writing poetry when interned in a prison camp in Germany, after being rounded up at the age of 22 with other antifascists from Santarcangelo. At 30 he moved to Rome and worked as a schoolteacher. During this time he met Elio Petri, the future director of ''Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion'' (1970), who worked as assistant to Giuseppe De Santis. Benito Stefanelli (2 September 1928 – 18 December 1999) was an Italian film actor, stuntman and weapons master who made over 60 appearances in film between 1955 and 1991. Biography and career Stefanelli is best known in world cinema for his roles as henchmen in several of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western films, portraying gang members in the trilogy of films ''A Fistful of Dollars'' (1964), ''For a Few Dollars More'' (1965), and ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' (1966). He played the town drunk in '' Wanted'' (1967) starring Giuliano Gemma and Serge Marquand. In his career, Stefanelli appeared in countless other western films and he worked simultaneously as a stunt coordinator (particularly during the 1960s and early 1970s) on the films that he performed in including those of Sergio Leone.
