Epping was a United Kingdom constituencies, parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, UK Parliament from 1885 to 1974. It elected one Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. West Essex (UK Parliament Constituency)
West Essex, formally known as the West Division of Essex was a parliamentary constituency in the English county of Essex. From 1868 to 1885, it returned two Members of Parliament (MPs) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, using the bloc vote system of election. Creation, boundaries and abolition West Essex was created by the Reform Act 1867 for the 1868 general election as one of three two-member divisions of Essex (East, South and West), replacing the two divisions which had been created by the Reform Act 1832 (Northern and Southern). Initially named as the North West Division, it was renamed the West Division under the Boundaries Act 1868. Chipping Ongar () is a market town and former civil parish, now in the parish of Ongar, in the Epping Forest District of the county of Essex, England. It is located east of Epping, southeast of Harlow and northwest of Brentwood. In 2020 the built-up area had an estimated population of 6420. In 1961 the parish had a population of 1673. Origin of the name The name "Ongar" means "grass land" (akin to the German word Anger). Woodford was a local government district in the county of Essex, England from 1873 to 1934, corresponding to the London suburb of Woodford. The parish of Woodford St Mary adopted the Local Government Act 1858 in 1873, setting up a local board of nine members. Wanstead () is a town in East London, England, in the London Borough of Redbridge. It borders South Woodford to the north, Redbridge, London, Redbridge to the east and Forest Gate to the south, with Leytonstone and Walthamstow to the west. It is located 8 miles northeast of Charing Cross. Epping, Essex
Epping is a market town and civil parish in the Epping Forest district of the County of Essex, England. The town is northeast from the centre of London, is surrounded by the northern end of Epping Forest, and on a ridge of land between the River Roding and River Lea valleys. Epping is the terminus for London Underground's Central line. The town has a number of historic Grade I and II and Grade III listed buildings. The weekly market, which dates to 1253, is held each Monday. In 2001 the parish had a population of 11,047 which increased to 11,461 at the 2011 Census. Epping became twinned with the German town of Eppingen in north-west Baden-Württemberg in 1981. Chingford is a town in east London, England, within the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
