Epistemologia
''Epistemologia'' was a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal of philosophy. It was focused on analytical philosophy, publishing articles that deal with philosophy of science, epistemology, logic, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind. It published articles in English and Italian. In 2015, it was reported that the journal had been hijacked. Since 2016, ''Epistemologia'' is no longer published as a separate publication, becoming an annual English-language supplement to the journal ''Axiomathes''. Evandro Agazzi
Evandro Agazzi (born 1934) is an Italian philosopher and professor at the University of Genoa. His fields of interest are ethics of science and technology, logic, metaphysics, philosophy of language, philosophy of science, philosophical anthropology, and systems theory. Education He is a graduate of the University of Milan where he studied physics and the Catholic University of Milan where he earned a Ph.D. in philosophy in 1957. Agazzi also did post graduate work at Oxford and the universities of Marburg and Münster. Teaching Agazzi taught mathematics at Genoa, and philosophy of science and mathematical logic at the Catholic University of Milan. He then was named professor of the philosophy of science at Genoa in 1970. He was named chair of philosophical anthropology, philosophy of nature and philosophy of science at the University of Fribourg in 1979. Philosophy Of Language
In analytic philosophy, philosophy of language investigates the nature of language and the relations between language, language users, and the world. ''Agalma: Rivista di Studi Culturali e di Estetica'' is an academic journal dedicated to cultural studies and aesthetics. It was established in 2000 by the philosopher Mario Perniola and a group of Italian and international intellectuals in response to the widely felt discontent with the international and Italian philosophical and cultural contexts at the time. Hijacked Journal
Journal hijacking refers to the brandjacking of a legitimate academic journal by a malicious third party. Typically the imposter journal sets up a fraud website for the purpose of offering scholars the opportunity to rapidly publish their research online for a fee. The term hijacked journal may refer to either the fraud or the legitimate journal. The fraudulent journals are also known as "clone journals". Similar hijacking can occur with academic conferences. Background In 2012, cyber criminals began hijacking print-only journals by registering a domain name and creating a fake website under the title of the legitimate journals. The first journal to be hijacked was the Swiss journal '' Archives des Sciences''. In 2012 and 2013, more than 20 academic journals were hijacked.
