Epic Aircraft
Epic Aircraft is a general aviation aircraft manufacturer headquartered in Bend, Oregon. The company produces the Epic E1000 GX single engine turboprop design. Founded in 2004, the company initially manufactured and sold kits for the Epic LT. Epic went through bankruptcy in 2009, before being purchased by Russian businessman Vladislav Filev of S7 Airlines in 2012, and is now owned by Filev and his family through Cyprus-based MVF Key Investments Ltd. In 2013 the company discontinued taking orders for LT kits, to concentrate on certification of the E1000, which is based upon the LT. The E1000's certification from the FAA was completed in November 2019. Williams International is an American manufacturer of small gas turbine engines based in Pontiac, Michigan, United States. It produces jet engines for cruise missiles and small jet aircraft. History Dr. Sam B. Williams worked at Chrysler on their automotive turbine systems, but always imagined a wider set of applications for the small gas turbine engine. Frankfurt Egelsbach Airport (german: Flugplatz Frankfurt-Egelsbach) is a general aviation airport located near Egelsbach, a town in the German state of Hesse. It is located southeast of Frankfurt Airport. History The airport was opened in 1955 with a single grass runway. It proved popular, and by 1957 was already seeing 37,000 movements a year. The Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation was an aircraft manufacturer that designed and built light general aviation aircraft. In November 2007 it became a division of Cessna.
