Eoin O'Mahony (Gaelic Footballer)
Eoin O'Mahony (born 1963) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer and manager who played for club sides Clonakilty and Nemo Rangers and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. He usually lined out as a forward. Playing career O'Mahony first came to Gaelic football prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Clonakilty club in West Cork. He made his senior club debut in 1979 and was part of the Clonakilty teams that lost county finals in 1983 and 1985. O'Mahony subsequently transferred to the Nemo Rangers club and was part of the All-Ireland Club Championship-winning team in 1989. He later re-joined the Clonakilty team and won a County Championship title with them in 1996. O'Mahony first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Cork minor football team that won the 1981 All-Ireland Minor Championship. Clonakilty GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the town and parish of Clonakilty in County Cork, Ireland. It is affiliated to the Carbery division of Cork. It was founded in October 1887. The club is most famous for being from the same town where black pudding is produced. Munster Under-21 Football Championship
The Munster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1962 and 2016 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. It is sponsored by EirGrid. The final, currently held in March, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the Corn na Cásca. 1982 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship
The 1982 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship was the 19th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. Cork entered the championship as defending champions, however, they were defeated by Roscommon in the All-Ireland semi-final. Donegal won the championship following an 0–8 to 0–5 defeat of Roscommon in the All-Ireland final. This was their fourth All-Ireland title overall and their second in successive seasons. The following players won the Sam Maguire Cup with their county in 1992: Paul Carr, Matt Gallagher, Martin McHugh, Joyce McMullan, Sylvester Maguire, Anthony Molloy, Charlie Mulgrew and Donal Reid. The 1983 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 97th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter county, inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 15 May 1983 and ended on 18 September 1983. Offaly GAA, Offaly entered the championship as the 1982 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, defending champions, however, they were defeated by Dublin GAA, Dublin in the Leinster final. On 18 September 1983, Dublin won the championship following a 1-10 to 1-8 defeat of Galway GAA, Galway in the All-Ireland final. 1989 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1989 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 103rd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 14 May 1989 and ended on 17 September 1989. Meath were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Dublin in the Leinster final. The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. The first tournament was held in 1887; it has been held every year since 1889. The 1988 Cork Senior Football Championship was the 100th staging of the Cork Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 13 December 1987. The championship began on 24 April 1988 and ended on 30 October 1988. The Munster Senior Club Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Football Senior Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition for the champion clubs of each county. Castlehaven GAA
Castlehaven Gaelic Football Club is a Cork GAA club in the parish of Castlehaven near the town of Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland. The club also draws players from the villages of Union Hall, Castletownshend and Tragumna. The club participates in competitions run by Cork GAA and by the Carbery divisional board. The club is primarily concerned with the game of Gaelic football, but has fielded hurling teams in the past. They went from playing at Junior B level in 1969 to reaching the Cork Senior Football Championship final only 10 years later. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 8 December 2002. The championship began on 12 October 2003 and ended on 19 October 2003. The winning team receives the New Ireland Cup, presented by the New Ireland Assurance Company.
